On October 3, Eiko's solo project
A Body in Places started in Philadelphia. Her first three hour performance of
A Body in a Station at the 30th Street Amtrak Station was watched by attentive audience and passers-by alike. At any given time roughly 80-100 people stayed to watch for a length of time and hundreds of travelers stopped by to watch and photograph her performance. The photo exhibition
A Body in Fukushima had also opened in
Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) on October 3 and will be on view through April 5, 2015. Both are produced by PAFA and curated its director harry Philbrick.
