Serving as creative catalysts for Parvana, an exhibition exploring the multiple aesthetic, scientific, and literary understandings of butterflies and moths, Eiko & Koma will conduct a block-teaching residency at Colorado College. Eiko & Koma will conduct a block-teaching residency. In addition to teaching a class on contemporary dance and expressive movement for the Drama/Dance department, Eiko & Koma will work with CC faculty and students to explore the intersection of scientific and artistic modes of investigation.
Paravana also features artworks by Joseph Scheer, Rebecca DiDominico, and John Kalymnios, and specimens from natural history collections.
On Oct 14, Eiko & Koma will perform Regeneration, a program that includes their 1976 White Dance based on a poem, "Moth".
