    More information on the program

The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center is an amazing performing arts complex at the University of Maryland in College Park. Curator Paul Brohan and director Susie Farr decided to celebrate the Center's 10th anniversary by inviting both Eiko & Koma and Kronos Quartet for multiple engagements throughout the 2011-2012 season. The Center is proud of its rich history with both Kronos Quartet and Eiko & Koma, and will commission a collaboration between these artists that will premiere in February 2012.

The year of activities kicks off with performances of Regeneration on September 14-15. In the same week, Kronos Quartet will perform with another Eiko & Koma collaborator, David Krakauer. During this time together in Maryland, the artists will have the opportunity to converse about their upcoming collaboration.  A public conversation between the artsts will take place on September 15.

Eiko & Koma will return in February 2012 to perform Fragile and in May 2012 to perform the Caravan Project,
