For PLATFORM 2016, Eiko and the Danspace Project curators considered the East Village's history as a home for multiple generations of immigrants, activists, artists, outcasts, dancers, musicians, and poets. This history, and Eiko's own connection to the neighborhood, inspired her to bring her A Body in Places solos to various location in the East Village. She gave intimate performances over three weeks to 10-30 audience members at a time.
Performances took place at various times during the morning, afternoon and night.
Mondays at 9 am, Tuesdays at noon, Wednesdays at 3 pm, Thursdays at 6 pm, Fridays at 9 pm, with one final midnight performance took place on March 19.
