Eiko returned to Fukushima, Japan

from July 22- 26, 2014,  Photographer William Johnston and Eiko returned to Fukushima Japan to revisit the same places where they worked in January.  They have observed changes in essentially still dire situations. The most visible were the overgrowth of plants, in tsunami swept cars, on train station platforms, and from the rows of broken bags that contain radiation contaminated soils. Radiation is still high in most of the places they visited and aftermath of both 2011 earthquake and tsunami remain painfully visible.
