A video installation Residue of Nakedness
closed after a month run in Colorado College together with the end of one month intensive course Eiko taught there.
The installation was an extension of our video installation Naked created in 2010 in conjunction with our performance Naked at Baryshnikov Art Center, but this time the installation was more extensive, showing all sixteen pieces we performed without costume shown in various ways.
Residue of Nakedness was a stand alone installation not linked with our performances and in that sense it inherits the challenges of our NYPL exhibition Residue. Thus the combined name was given as the title of this installation. Eiko selected all the videos for exhibition from the archives sometimes editing multiple versions together. Also shown was Eiko & Koma's media dance collaborations with videographers.
Residue of Nakedness was made possible in part by the Doris Duke Performing Artist Awards program.
