Time is Not Even Space is Not Empty was first conceived during their residency at the Park Avenue Armory, New York City in the summer of 2010 with support from the Mellon Foundation. The exhibition was further developed during a 2011 residency offered by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council with support from the Andy Warhol Foundation for Visual Arts.
